Chain of Custody
From sample intake to submission — fully digital, fully traceable.
The Chain of Custody form is the foundation of every environmental monitoring event. BioSure digitizes the entire CoC workflow — eliminating handwritten forms, misplaced paperwork, and manual data re-entry. From the moment a sample collection event is initiated to the moment results are reported, every action is timestamped and attributed.
What you get, in detail.

Digital CoC creation & submission
Create CoC forms directly in the portal. Client admins can initiate CoC forms themselves with customer info auto-populated. Lab staff can also create CoC forms on behalf of clients. One click submits — triggering notifications and generating a lab-side copy with additional fields.
- 02 / 04
Draft → Submitted lifecycle
CoC forms follow a structured status lifecycle. In Draft, the form is editable. Once submitted, it is locked for the client and becomes the official record of the sampling event. Lab staff work from the submitted version, adding internal data without altering the client-facing record.
- 03 / 04
Sample locations & media lot tracking
Each CoC captures the precise sample locations drawn from the client’s mapped floor plan — no free-text guessing. Media lot information (manufacturer, lot number, expiry) is tracked per CoC. Air sampler equipment is also logged per sample, including serial number and calibration expiry, satisfying USP 797 documentation.
